ERP System Redesign

Overview

Travel Booster is an ERP SaaS solution for the travel industry.

Our platform simplifies complex operations for travel agencies, global tour operators or corporate travel departments. The Travel Booster provides end-to-end automation, including reservation, financial module, document sending, reconciliations, reports, communication with travelers and more. 

In my role as Lead Product Designer, I took charge of reshaping both the user experience and visual interfaces. Also, I consistently work on implementing new features, making it more intuitive and user-friendly.

Challenges

After few discovery sessions, we identified several different issues with the existing system.

Inconsistency throughout the system making it difficult for users to understand and navigate, which led to frustration and confusion, therefore to a negative user experience.

The introduction of new features and improvements lacks proper consideration for clients' requirements and needs.

Lack of communication with customers

Untailored logic and lack of contextual help, burdened the customer support team with significant memory requirements.

High reliance on user memory

Visual Overload lead to a state where the system was unintuitive and hard to use, old fashioned design and component overload, which made it difficult for its users to accomplish objectives.

With a market presence of over 15 years, Travel Booster has evolved using three different code languages and has seen contributions from various designers and developers.
However, this has led to a system that was unintuitive and lacked consistency.

To streamline a cohesive design system and maintain consistency throughout the system, we updated all the UI elements. This effort is geared towards standardizing the user interfaces, fostering improved communication with the developers, facilitating the sharing of feedback and mutual understanding, ultimately enhancing both user experience and interface, leading to more efficient product delivery.

B2C Experience

After a travel agent completes the client's travel file, they can send an order proposal and order summary. Previously, clients received a standard technical PDF summarizing their trip details.
We transformed this dull PDF into an interactive experience, allowing clients to perform various actions with just a click—such as making payments and accessing all relevant documents. Furthermore, each travel agency now has the flexibility to customize the travel file to align with their brand, enabling them to personalize colors, add images, and incorporate their logo.
